Attention soldiers! March double time for a fun field day. The Drill Sarge will march the platoon over to the “soldier hop”. The squads will compete in a hop ball relay while trying to hold on to their hats. Next, they’ll do a different twist on a “Drill March”. They will need team spirit to advance in this game. The tank race is another squad competition, where the kids relay race with wagons. For each game, the winning squad gets either a prize or a medal. We can personalize the “Pin the medal on a hero” game. To personalize, we will need a 10x16 picture of the birthday child or his favorite soldier (i.e. Dad, Uncle, Family Member, Friend, Famous Soldier). The platoon will be instructed to pin the medals on their left chest as service ribbons of our Heroes are worn with pride. We can also customize a scavenger hunt for goody bags. For soldiers too little for the above relays, they can play the “apple pie” race. They’ll balance an apple in a pie pan while relaying.
